Bookkeeper
Born and raised in Colorado Springs Barb developed an affection for the Colorado lifestyle early, enjoying the outdoors and especially horses. She moved to Montrose Colorado when she was 15 where she quickly adjusted to rural Colorado living and made a life for herself. Upon completion of high school while working with the developmentally disabled she earned a BA in non-profit administration from Regis University. In 1986 her journey found her in Durango where she worked as the Director of Adult Services for developmentally disabled adults. Her quest was only beginning though as she went on to have numerous other roles including a hotel general manager and owner, a personal trainer, and a health club manager. Barb now has settled on a career in bookkeeping which allows her the flexibility to balance her life between work and her 50 acre ranch where she is able to enjoy her family, three horses, two dogs and a slower pace of life. Barb is currently pursuing her certification as an Equine Assisted Life Coach.
